Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple is near Haripad, not in Alleppey town. The temple's official visitor information places it about 30 km from Alappuzha railway station and 2 km from Haripad railway station. For the simplest visit, travel from Alleppey by car or taxi. For a lower-cost trip, take a current train or bus toward Haripad and use an auto-rickshaw for the last leg.

The general darshan hours published by the temple are 5:00–11:00 a.m. and 5:30–7:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday; on Sunday, the morning window runs until noon. Which route is easiest from Alleppey?

Do not route yourself only by the word “Alappuzha.” Mannarasala is on the Haripad side of the district, south of Alleppey town. It fits more naturally with a southbound journey than with a Punnamada houseboat reporting time.
