Option 1: direct taxi from Kochi airport
This is the clearest door-to-door choice. Cochin International Airport Limited says prepaid taxis operate around the clock from computerized counters at both the domestic and international terminals. The official counter is useful if you have not arranged a driver, but confirm whether your exact Alappuzha destination is covered and get the current total before paying.
Send the driver a clickable destination pin before leaving the airport. For a hotel, use the property entrance rather than only its name. For a houseboat, request the exact landing—not simply “Punnamada” or “Finishing Point.” Different boats can use different jetties, including locations outside the broad Punnamada area.
What a taxi quote should include
- The complete airport-to-destination fare and whether tolls or parking are extra.
- A vehicle large enough for every passenger and suitcase.
